SAVE PLAYGROUNDS ARE BAD FOR KIDS.

During the German occupation of Denmark Carl Theodor Sorensen noticed that kids would play everywhere from boombed buildings to construcion sites, exept playgrounds. That made him decide to close an empty lot in suburbs to make a jank playground which was filled with building materials, tools and random objects so kids could explore, dig and build the area as they wanted. After that multiple of these where built in the UK,  under the name of adventure playgrounds and they became global phenomenon. But why? Kids respond well to being treated seriously. If they are given risky items and free space to use them on their own, they will act carefully. The problem starts when you present to them overly save constructions... they start looking for risks that they aren't provided with. Statistics confirm that most of the serious injuries happen at save playgrounds not the ones we are so sceptical about. Beside that reportedly children who play on adventure playgrounds are not only more active, creative and have better risk detection but they also have higher self esteem.
To do a quick sum up, risky is a lot better than boring in some cases ;)
